Review of the Suntegrity 5-in-1 Face Sunscreen Tinted SPF 30

Suntegrity 5 In 1 Face Sunscreen Tinted in Light SPF 30

Suntegrity 5 In 1 Face Sunscreen Tinted in Light SPF 30 - $45

Here’s the quick SCORECARD breakdown. Each question is rated on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best:

1. How do the ingredients look ( ratings)?- UPDATE 4: It ranked as a “1” on EWG, but I do see Cetyl Dimethicone, and while I personally am “ok” with using it, I’d like to find products without that type of silicone whenever possible.

2. How’s coverage?- 5: It was sheer with a very subtle tint for me. I’d say one of the most sheer tinted moisturizers I’ve tested. Skin absolutely looked like skin after applying and it gives a little glow!

3. Does it last?- 3: This is where it took a few hits. At the end of the day, my skin didn’t look super fresh. In fact, it looked a little greasy even when I set it.

4. Is it non-irritating?- 5: No issues here!

5. Does it build and blend well with other products?- 4: It isn’t buildable, but isn’t meant to be. As far as blending, it’s a champ. I use this as a primer more often than not.

6. Is the shade range inclusive?- 2: Four shades, not so hot, but a good start!

7. How conscious is the brand? 3- Cruelty-free and vegan for the win! Now, the packaging, I heard back from the brand and they said the package is “recyclable, but has layers of plastic to preserve it (so as not to add any other preservatives).” It’s tricky to recycle so they recommend dropping it off at a Credo Beauty store. What if you don’t live near one though? Check out Terracycle. Overall, it’s too complicated to recycle this. It’s not a sustainable packaging system.

  • You’re looking for sheer, light coverage with SPF 30 in it

  • Cruelty-free and vegan is the only way for you!

  • You’re looking for a tinted moisturizer that also acts as skincare with hyaluronic acid

  • You have dry or combination skin. Those with oilier skin types may want to look elsewhere or apply with a dusting of setting powder or even a loose powder foundation that will provide more coverage.

These were the not-so-great ingredients that didn’t pass the Rule of 3. Click below to find out all the details:

TIP: Percentage matters. It wasn’t listed on the label. I always recommend, if you’re still on the fence, ask the brand “what’s inside?”

Would I recommend this product to a friend? No I wouldn’t. That isn’t due entirely to performance mind you. I think the thicker texture moisturizes well, but the staying power just wasn’t there for me. Plus, I personally (it truly is a personal call, so take this information and apply it to what will work best for you), I’m looking for products that are created with fully sustainable packaging moving forward whenever possible! I do love the brand and they have been on-point when it comes to being transparent with me!

*U P D A T E* | THE BRAND’S RESPONSE TO ASKING WHETHER THE PACKAGING IS SUSTAINABLE (EX. made from recycled materials, 100% recyclable at curbside pickup, aka- it has to be EASY for a consumer to recycle this):

“I looked into TeraCycle and was happy to see that they offer the program to individuals, however the zero-waste boxes for cosmetic product submissions are rather pricey at $41 for a pouch -

**I asked, “what if someone doesn’t live near a Credo store?

The recycling capability of each city varies greatly around the country, so we are unsure of your local recycling capabilities. You could try it - or someone could potentially send it a Credo store that is closest for recycling since they are a participating drop box sponsor for Terracycle. We are also happy to have them send it to us directly at our headquarters and we will coordinate the recycling (shipping is not provided).

We are regularly looking at green packaging alternatives. We were originally guided to this packaging because of the benefits it provides for product longevity and freshness and so any new option needs to be assessed carefully to ensure product stability as all of our products must be 3rd party tested for lengthy periods to ensure stability prior to market introduction.”
