Review of The Organic Skin Co. Cheeky Lips

The Organic Skin Co. Cheeky Lips

The Organic Skin Co. Cheeky Lips in- $39.00

Here’s the quick SCORECARD breakdown. Each question is rated on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best:

1. How do the ingredients look? What’s inside?- Looking super solid. There are a few pigments that rated higher on EWG (for the ‘velvet’ color I have it in), see below.

2. How is the color payoff?- 4: So solid. The pigment here is amazing and such a small amount really has a major impact.

3. Does the color last?- 4: Yes. It almost stains the lip and stays there for awhile. It's a drier texture, less slick, silky and glossy, so it blends and sinks right in!

4. Does it dry out lips?- 4: I liked using something underneath like the Cocokind Macabeet balm. I need that extra moisture, but it didn't dry out my pout. It wasn’t super emollient either. I’d say it’s in the middle with super-saturated color that can be pressed onto lips/cheeks to create a look.

5. How’s texture? Does it apply smoothly?- 4: Like I mentioned, it’s a bit less-emollient and silky in texture, which helps make it a solid multi-tasker that won’t look greasy. It works well over a lightweight moisturizer on cheeks!

6. How is the scent? Is it overwhelming?- 5: Not at all. There's not a detectable or overpowering scent. No headaches here!

7. How conscious is the brand? 5- I rarely give a ‘5’ for this. Check out their site! Major ‘wow’ factor on the combo of being cruelty-free, vegan, recyclable, offering refills, and the brand keeps the environment top of mind by planting trees for every product sold! Job well done.

  • The pigment here is fantastic! It really pops and lasts without much effort on lips and cheeks

  • The brand is incredibly conscious of sustainability! I’m a huge fan

  • Honestly, I wouldn’t spend $39 on a lip and cheek tint, BUT, there’s a little hack about how to save a buck back on the video in case you’re interested!

  • I’d also recommend the Han Lip + Cheek in Rose Berry and I’ve been known to use the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Matte Lipsticks as a quick lip and cheek in a pinch- works like a charm!

I pull these directly from the site. You’d be shocked at how many product pages have misspellings so if you see one, you’ll know why! I didn’t catch it. Neither did the retailer. Funsies!
