The top: Cinching-in the sheath dress accentuates your naturally balanced, Hourglass body type proportions. You don't want to cover those up. The belt is going to help bring that out. In case you don't love the belt action, you can leave it out and just go with the blazer. The lines will streamline and hug a bit where the dress won't. Again, go with the curves, no covering up please, thanks.
The bottom: Well, it's a dress so let's look at the hem. It falls along side the hips and then opens up a bit right at the leg. This is great for movement, it's like you're wearing a men's dress shirt (ridiculously comfortable), and it flatters by not enveloping you whole or squeezing too tight.
The rest: A statement necklace works well back to the pop of pink going on here. This is where you get to play and make the look your own. The pump is classic. Depending on where you're headed, you can swap it out for something 'strappy' (less coverage), drop the blazer for a fitted black leather jacket, lose the belt, and go into full-blown cocktail mode. As an Hourglass body type, you have so many options.
The ONE thing you really need to know when trying to pull this look off is, should you want to bring it into fall, avoid anything heavy when it comes to the shoe. The silk going on in the dress and even the blazer (yes, you can wear white for winter) won't play well with a heavier boot of any kind. The safe bet is to stick with a pump. If you need some warmth, go with a black opaque tight and switch the blazer to black as well.
