LAST WEEK'S LOOKS...

LOOK #1

look1.jpg

STYLIST NOTES:

A casual button-front shirt gets a lesson in formality with the addition of a classic black pant, an ankle boot from Zara that gives good heel, and a slouchy clutch. You could go edgy or romantic when it comes to the jewelry. Or, you could be an over-achiever and do both so you're accessorized to cover every mood.

Great for Pear body types.

LOOK #2

STYLIST NOTES:

Equestrian-meets-urban on this look. The textured jean resembles a riding pant but is a bit more updated and wearable. The black boot that can (and should) be worn with everything in your Fall/Winter wardrobe lengthens and is therefore an incredibly flattering addition. Sweater weather doesn't mean things have to get bulky, case in point this Burberry knit with a nod to the double-deckers out there. Finally, tie in some gold-tone pieces and a bag (I bet you thought I'd go with a black option here; gotcha) that is still simple but has a little interest to it thanks to a rich, royal blue hue. Done and done. Ps: I could SO see a pea coat with this one, or a trench for that matter.

Great for Hourglass & Rectangle body types.

LOOK #3

STYLIST NOTES:

Just because cubicle-land is grey, beige, and utterly boring doesn't mean your wardrobe needs to follow suit (pun-intended). Actually, you're doing the entire office a huge favor by injecting a little color therapy into the everyday routine of 'blah' and excel sheets that no human really ever gets used to. Save the day with a bold red sweater from one of my personal favorite shopping spots on-line, Reiss.com. Fold in a polished pencil skirt, an edgier, sexier variation on the classic black pump, a structured satchel, and a little drama with the statement necklace to bring a little life to the corporate party. Or, swap the satchel for a clutch and you're talking cocktail time without having to say a word.

Great for Hourglass & Pear Body Types.

LOOK #4

STYLIST NOTES:

Why so many women are scared of stripes I will never know. When it comes to wearing stripes, if you have some serious 'assets' on the top half of your body, just make sure you go with a thinner stripe. The wide stripes will make you look larger in real life than you already are (like a side view mirror, kinda; serves me right for trying to use a car analogy). A black blazer is a MUST for every wardrobe and this one is perfection for so many body types out there. Skinny jean, ankle boot, everyday-sized tote, check, check, and check. Oh, and a little gold jewelry never hurt anyone, ever.

Great for Rectangle & Apple Body Types.
