I've Found Happiness, in a Sugar Scrub

Call me melodramatic. Call me a creature of habit. Call me whatever you want, but this sugar scrub is probably the best addition to my evening routine ever. No really, ever.

It's therapeutic. I summons a Pavlovian, zen-like response in me (note: unlike Pavlov's experiment, there's no drooling involved...yet) when I swipe a little bit of this heavenly scrub on my fingertips and soak up that intoxicating, warm, sugary-sweet, vanilla-laced scent. So all this to say, I kind of like it.

Here's where I found it, how I use it, and a few more things you may want to check out:

Good to know:

  • You'll love this if you're a fan of sweet scents. And vanilla, lots of vanilla.
  • You'll like this if you're partner likes sweet scents. Buttercream frosting, but toned down a bit and with a squeeze of fresh citrus. I mean...c'mon.
  • You will be a fan of this sugar scrub if you need to exfoliate (like the rest of the population) on a regular basis.
  • There's coconut oil up in here. If you're not into that, pass.
  • Oh right, product info: LaLicious Extraordinary Whipped Sugar Scrub in Sugar Kiss. It's $35 for the full size, or you can get 2 oz for $9.50.
  • I bought it here. I'm on my second tub, but it lasts for awhile.

My 3 Minute Review of Juice Beauty's Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum

I received a sample of the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum in a subscription box a week ago and gave it a try.

There are a lot (read: ridiculous amounts) of serums on the market. Which do you choose? Do they really work? This one did for me. Watch what happened:

My 3 Minute Review of Juice Beauty's Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum

What you’ll want to know:

  • This serum is $78.00 and you can get it on Dermstore.com here.
  • If you have a ton of serums already, this one has two major skincare ingredients in one and they are vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. Both of these are BIG in the anti-aging game.

You'll love this serum if:

  • You are looking to get a jump on fine lines and wrinkles without using anything that is too harsh or chemical-laden.
  • You are trying to go more "green" and organic with your skincare. This serum is vegan!
  • You need one serum that has two heavy anti-aging hitters in it so you can avoid having a cabinet filled with different potions that may or may not actually work.
  • You don't want to spend over $100 for an effective anti-aging option.

You may not need this serum if:

  • You already have an anti-wrinkle option that is working. Kind of a "duh" but seriously, sometimes more is just more and completely unnecessary so stick with what is working and when you finish it, give this a try if you really want.
  • You're in your early twenties and drinking the marketing Kool Aid on trying to stay young. Use SPF, don't smoke, eat green things, and drink lots of water. Meditation isn't a bad idea either. Moisturize with whatever you've got. You've got about a decade before you need to really dive into anti-wrinkle serums (unless you have prematurely aging skin, in which case, give it a shot).
  • You are in the market to spend less than $50.

Thanks for watching!

Natural Deodorant Experiment: Does It Work? I Tried PiperWai & Soapwalla

Seriously though, I've been trying to find a natural deodorant that actually works for months now...

After trying more crystals and sticks than I care to mention, I narrowed it down to two contenders. First up, the Shark Tank wunderkind, PiperWai which came to my attention thanks to a natural beauty-obsessed friend of mine. And then there's Soapwalla. A brand I became familiar with after several accurately-targeted Instagram ads and then a little friendly back-and-forth with the brand reps.

Did either work? Did I ever get comfortable with the concept of a deodorant cream? Can you think of any other questions I should ask here? Ok, me either, let's get to the video:

If you follow the channel, there's a reason why that Shiseido foundation stick looks familiar. See why it won the foundation stick battle of 2017 here.

In the market for the perfect tinted moisturizer? I tested out 4 tinted moisturizers over a span of 6 months, and this was the big winner.

See why here.

A Self Tanning Lotion That Works and Doesn't Have That Smell? It Exists...

You know how it goes, you don't want sun damage but you also need a base tan and a spray tan isn't in the budget, so you head to your go-to tanning lotion and put up with that...that...smell right? Not anymore. Tanceuticals is the real deal.
