The Outfit Blueprint started with the Ultimate Closet Guide (get the scoop on what it's all about and how you can transform your closet/wardrobe in 30 days for less than $40 HERE). Once you have your Blueprints identified, you can build an entire wardrobe around looks that are personalized to your life and body so all you have to do is grab and go in the morning without having to think about it.
In order to narrow things down to your first couple of Outfit Blueprints, it helps to have a little inspiration. That's where Pinterest comes in. This look is pulled from the Day/Casual Outfit Blueprint Board. There's more where that came from, but for now, let's talk about it:
Sure, it's August, but that doesn't mean it isn't time to start thinking Fall. Get a jump on the season that is starting to hit sales floors now. This look is the perfect example of how a bootcut jean can be your best friend. For so many of my petite clients, I'm all about a bootcut that fits throughout the thigh and has a slight flare to it at the ankle. Not a major kick-flare, this is not your trendy item. It's just something subtle and it does magic for the eye-line on your leg.
I love the layers going on as well. Since it is still a bit toasty in some parts of the country right now, and easy switch up would be to drop the scarf and peacoat. Opt for the shirt and a statement necklace instead or a colorful cardigan. Overall, the colors are kept neutral until you get to the leopard print peeking out from under the hem. Add a little edge using accessories. It works every time and for every budget/body. So simple.
If you're heavier on top, dare I say Apple (I know we hate being classified as produce, but hey, it is a quick visual when you need one), go with a solid color, v-neck, long-sleeve tee. You don't need the extra bulk brought on by layering.
That cover this daytime/casual look. See more looks you can use to style-out with for every occasion on your calendar HERE.
